General Information

Founded in 1954 by the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, Holy Family University is a comprehensive university based in Philadelphia. More than 1,000 of the University's 3,300 students are adults enrolled in traditional graduate, doctoral, or accelerated bachelors and masters degree programs.

The University is based at the Northeast Philadelphia Campus, which serves as home of the traditional undergraduate program and offers courses in the graduate programs. Additional sites in Bucks County provide convenience and flexibility for adult students so that they can successfully balance course loads, professional duties, and home lives.

Specifically designed for adult students, Holy Family-Woodhaven, in Bensalem Township, serves as home to the Division of Extended Learning and its continuing education and accelerated degree programs in business, nursing, and criminal justice. The University's accelerated, hybrid MBA also is available in Quakertown. Holy Family-Newtown, in Newtown Township, offers graduate programs in counseling psychology, criminal justice, and education and accelerated courses in business and criminal justice.

With an emphasis on outcomes and an orientation toward professional development, Holy Family offers graduate programs that have immediate practical application. When combined with deeply rooted values and an expert, mentoring faculty, these programs are meant to make an impact on students and on the world.
